What to Expect

We are glad you are considering visiting us! You’ll find the Pitt Chapel family very welcoming and accepting. To give you an idea of what to expect when you visit, here are a few pieces of information.
Sunday morning worship begins at 10:30. Many will start arriving around 10:15 to 10:20. Parking is available behind the church in our paved parking lot, and the main entrance is the center door at the back of the building (the west side). Someone will greet you and show your where the sanctuary, bathrooms, classrooms, and coffee shop are. Some will take advantage of our coffee shop located in the fellowship hall to your left as you enter the main entrance. It opens at 9:45 and we have coffee, hot chocolate, milk, juice, and doughnuts available at no charge. This provides a relaxing atmosphere to fellowship before service begins.
You’ll find a majority of our congregation dress very casual. T-shirts and jeans are the norm with a few choosing to “dress up”. We do not care what you wear, just glad to have you visit us.
Our praise and worship service is blended, that is, we usually sing some traditional songs along with some contemporary. Our music lasts about 25-30 minutes, and then offering is taken up and our children are dismissed to classes. We have classes available for ages 4-10. A nursery is also provided after praise and worship for those ages 0-3.
Pastor Mark is a gifted speaker who digs deep into the Word to provide an insightful, thought-provoking message that generally lasts about 40-45 minutes. There may or may not be an altar call, but generally there is a time for prayer.
