New Here? What To Expect
We are glad you are considering visiting us! The Pitt Chapel family strives to be very welcoming to all. Here are some things you may be wondering about what to expect.

Dress Code: There isn't one other than please do wear something! 😊 Come as you are. Many in our congregation are very casual. Anything from jeans and t-shirts to dresses or suits and ties is normal here.

Type of Worship: We are a pentecostal church, but things are usually pretty tame here. You may hear someone speaking in tongues and if the Holy Spirit falls anything could happen! Hand clapping, hands raised, and loudly praising the Lord is to be expected at every service (but don't worry, we won't look at you crazy if you don't). Our music is usually a mix of contemporary and traditional with lyrics on a screen. We have a mix of basic musical instruments and it is led by our praise & worship team.

Preaching: Pastor Troy preaches from the Word, loudly and with fire. But he is short and sweet also. Expect the sermon to last about 15-30 minutes, usually followed by prayer which could include praying at the altar or lining up to have several people pray for those who need it.
Coffee Bar: We have our free "coffee bar" before and after Sunday School, usually with coffee, hot water for tea, chocolate milk, and donuts. Help yourself, but we do ask that these items be consumed in the hallway before entering the sanctuary.

Parking: The parking lot is behind the church off of 13th street. We have handicapped spaces close to the door.

Main Entrance: The main entrance to our church is in the center of the "back" of the building by the parking lot.

Children: We have Sunday School and Sunday Children's Church for children ages 2 through elementary age. The children stay in the sanctuary with us for praise and worship and then are dismissed to go to children's church. We also have classes for children on Wednesday evenings. Our nursery is available for your use, but we do not currently have a regular nursery worker. There is a changing table in the ladies restroom.

Youth/Teens: Teenagers (middle and high school) meet together on Wednesday evenings during Bible study for a time of fellowship and teaching by our youth leader Glenn Bliss. Sometimes other youth events are organized and will be announced as they come up.
