VBS 2019 was a Success!
Maker Fun Factory VBS was held August 6-10th and was a hit with the children. They learned they were created by God for a purpose. Thank you to Kim Scott and all our volunteers for making it a success!
VBS 2018 was an exciting adventure into the Jungle! We ministered to many kids, saw a lot of new faces, and shared the gospel. Many thanks to John Smithson for organizing VBS and putting in many hours of work to pull this off. Of course, this was a team effort, and we thank any person who helped in any way, big or small. Check out our photo gallery from VBS below.
There are TWO chances to get your KIDS plugged into some quality Christian Education at the Pitt Chapel:
Sunday Morning Kids Church--After Morning Praise & Worship. We have classes for ages 3 thru Middle School.
Wednesday Night from 6:15 to 7:00 pm. Class for ages 3-12.
All children, ages 3-12, have their very own worship service in the Kids Church Room immediately after morning praise and worship. Our Kid's Church is under the direction of Eileen Herford and Sarah Smithson and includes praise and worship, skits, puppets, crafts, and lessons.
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future--Jeremiah 29:11
Children's Church offers Church for children from ages 3-12 years. It is held on Sunday Mornings immediately after praise and worship, and is led by Becky Herford. They have a passion and desire to teach and grow our children's ministry. During Children's Church the kids will be taught lessons using visual aids, music, object lessons, and the good old flannel graphs. They will also participate in crafts and activities that reinforce these lessons.
Children's Church is interactive as children are encouraged to participate in different ways such as prayer, music, skits, games, scripture memory, and worship. Skits and drama are sometimes offered, and plays and programs are presented to the adult congregation on special occasions.
Children's Church allows us to provide ministry for children at their level of understanding. It also enables their families to participate in the adult service with the assurance that their child is being cared for and built up in their faith.
God loves the children and has a specific purpose for each of them.
Allowing the body of Christ to be fully operative in our children.
Church is not just an "adult thing", but is a place for children.
Encouraging parents in ministry to their children.
Help our children establish a sense of outreach.
Consistent focus on the Word of God.
Encourage kids to grow in ministry.
