There are many opportunities to connect with a group or to serve here at Pitt Chapel. Here are a few. Please don't hesitate to reach out to one of our leadership team members for how to be a deeper part of things!​

Worship Ministry: We have an anointed worship leader, Jennifer Smithson, and a team of singers and musicians. We are always ready to add someone new! If you have musical talent and would like to join us on our worship team one Sunday or many, please see Jennifer. We also welcome solo or group "special" music presentations. There is also an ongoing opportunity to serve during Sunday service in the sound booth. We occasionally host concerts, as well, and would be thrilled to discuss the possibility with you.

Women's Ministry: Our ladies are pretty active in the church. We have a book club led by Angelia Burks that meets on the 1st Thursday at 6pm. We meet together at a local restaurant on the 2nd Saturday at 9am. And we have a women's fellowship meeting and light meal on the 4th Saturday at 6pm. Additionally, we hold regular fundraisers to earn funds to support our flower/hospital ministry, help with various needs around the church, and work together to support new mamas and those recovering from surgery or long-term illness. We also attend women's conferences together a few times a year. You'll also find some of us in the church kitchen on Sundays and Wednesdays. To get involved, we invite you to join us at any of our monthly events or reach out to one of the ladies during a regular service.

Men's Ministry: The men of our church meet together at a local restaurant on the 1st Saturday of each month at 8:30 am for fellowship. We also occasionally plan fun outings such as fishing trips and help with the "heavy lifting" projects around the church. To get involved, please reach to one of the men during a regular service.

 

Youth Ministry: We have a small but fun ministry for teens, led by Glenn Bliss, that meets weekly on Wednesdays at 6:30pm and occasionally participates in local and regional events such as summer camp and teen nights in the area. Most of our youth are involved in our monthly family game nights, bowling nights, and our yearly Christmas parade float. If you'd like to get involved as a volunteer or to get your teenager involved, please see Glenn at any of our regular services.

Children's Ministry: We have multiple ways for our children to connect and learn the Word of God. Our Children's Ministry pastors are Eileen & Josh Robarts. We have Sunday School for preschool and elementary ages at 9:30am Sundays and Children's Church at 11am Sundays following worship service. We also have classes for elementary ages at 6:30 on Wednesday evenings. Click here to learn more.

Outreach Ministries: We have many opportunities to serve the community through our outreach ministries.

• We have a regular meal after church each Sunday that is open to everyone, although designed for our homeless neighbors and others in need of a hot meal or companionship. Everyone is welcome to join us for a meal. You are also welcome to join us in preparing the meal, serving the meal, cleaning up after the meal, or simply fellowshipping with our guests. We also accept donations of food and funds towards the meal ministry.

• We have small bags of hygiene items and other necessities for the homeless, as well as a small clothing closet that is open to all. Click here to learn more. 

• We have hosted an annual Christmas giveaway for the last several years, ran by Ashley Kincade, that allows us to gift families in need with at least one small toy for each of their children. We will always accept gifts for toddlers through teens, as well as wrapping paper, stocking stuffers, and similar items to make their Christmas shine.​

Cleaning and Maintenance: The down and dirty truth is that even churches get dirty! We are always looking to add to our weekly cleaning crew. If you'd love to help with this, please seek out Rose Mary Bliss during one our regular services. If you are a handyman, we often have a need in maintenance and would love to be able to call on you. Please let Larry Norris or Glenn Bliss know what you'd be willing to help with as the need arises.
