Ministry To Those In Need

We love our homeless neighbors and we strive to show them the love of Christ as well as helping them in any way we are able. There are many ways to serve in this ministry.

  • Sunday Hot Meal - Our Sunday Outreach meal is currently cancelled due to insurance issues. We hope to resolve this situation in the spring and will update accordingly. This does not affect normal church potlucks and holiday meals.

  • Clothing closet - We have a small closet of clothing, shoes, and accessories that is open before and after service. We accept donations of clean clothing, shoes, purses, and misc accessories as well as "shopping" bags.

  • Food pantry - We have a very limited amount of food available. We like to stock it with things that don't require electricity or a way to cook it. We accept donations of food and cash for this pantry.

  • Homeless Bags - We put together small bags of basic supplies for the homeless. These include Bibles, hygiene items, gloves, hand warmers, sanitizing wipes or gel, tissues, etc. Its also fun to include a treat or two! Travel size items are best. We also use small gift bags for distribution. We accept donations of cash, items, and time.

  • Homeless Outreach - We have a small team that goes out into the community to share the Word with the homeless, distribute items, and invite them to church.

  • Van - Our van is currently broke down. We are looking to replace it soon and hope to be back to being able to provide pickups when we do.

  • Christmas Giveaway - We have an annual Christmas toy giveaway for community families in need. We have a toy drive during the fall leading up to Christmas. (This includes gift items for teens.) The giveaway is usually the weekend before Christmas. Please text us at (620) 291-4814 for more information or message Ashley Kincade directly. New unwrapped gifts can be brought to the church during church times, office hours, dropped in one of our donation boxes around town (Walmart Neighborhood Market, Tractor Supply, Tri Fitness). Cash donations can be given directly during offering, marked for toy drive, or through our online donation platform using the "toy drive" option. Or through the mail, make your check to Pitt Chapel COG and send it to 1107 N Tucker, Pittsburg, KS 66762. Specify "toy drive" in the memo area. ❤️
